Your Support is VALUABLE
Veterans History Project
At Journalistika Media (JM), we honor the courageous stories of U.S. military veterans through our involvement in the Veterans History Project, an initiative by the Library of Congress. Since 2000, this project has worked to ensure that future generations understand the profound experiences of veterans.
We conduct sensitive interviews to capture veterans' service stories in audio, video, and written formats. This meaningful material is shared with the Library of Congress and provided to veterans themselves, ensuring others understand their legacies. Our dedicated team includes journalist and combat veteran Aaron Rasheed and volunteers from Central Oregon Community College, all of whom are passionate about this mission.
While we take pride in our work, we recognize that the costs for equipment and materials can be significant. Your generous donations are greatly appreciated and essential for us to continue preserving these critical stories.
We invite veterans who wish to share their experiences and volunteers interested in training as interviewers or note-takers to join us on this meaningful journey.
If you have questions, want to schedule an interview, or want to volunteer, please email us at aaron@journalistika.org or call 541-728-4034. To learn more about the Veterans History Project, visit https://www.loc.gov/vets. Your support can truly make a difference in honoring our nation's heroes.
