Event Five

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Event One

At Journalistika Media (JM), we honor the courageous stories of U.S. military veterans through our involvement in the Veterans History Project, an initiative by the Library of Congress. Since 2000, this project has worked to ensure that future generations understand the profound experiences of veterans.

We conduct sensitive interviews to capture veterans' service stories in audio, video, and written formats. This meaningful material is shared with the Library of Congress and provided to veterans themselves, ensuring their legacies are understood by others. Our dedicated team includes journalist and combat veteran Aaron Rasheed and volunteers from Central Oregon Community College, all of whom are passionate about this mission.

While we take pride in our work, we recognize that the costs for equipment and materials can be significant. Your generous donations are greatly appreciated and essential for us to continue preserving these important stories.

We invite veterans who wish to share their experiences and volunteers interested in training as interviewers or note-takers to join us on this meaningful journey.

For questions, to schedule an interview, or to volunteer, please contact us at aaron@journalistika.org or call 541-728-4034. To learn more about the Veterans History Project, visit: https://www.loc.gov/vets. Your support can truly make a difference in honoring our nation's heroes.
